Movie review – Raja Rani

The movie hit my ‘to watch list’, solely from the interest of catching Nazriya on the screen. Madam did play a vital role through her cute, naughty & bubbly character that goes well with her.

But what came over, was the storyline so neatly presented, just made me fell in love with the movie. Thanks to Nazriya, that I landed up with encountering this piece for a splendid ride of emotions and the take on relationships.

Brilliant writing and execution by Atlee and what a jaw dropping performance by Nayantara. I was speechless for the natural acting she displayed. The scenes where she suffers from an attack with her pupils disappearing is presented so real and one scene where a black tear pushes itself on her cheeks from her kajal clad eyes clearly indicates it being shot in one go and keeping it so natural, unlike Bollywood where the black tear would not have been accepted on a fair lady’s face as beauty has to be flawlessly beautiful there, well, but thanks to Atlee for keeping the movie so relative, simple and real. The role of Sathiaraj and his impressive acting does complete the movie. Arya does justice to his role and executes his part very well.

The background music of the movie is really haunting and strings of the violin, veena and piano literally cuts through the heart. No words!, just feel it…..

The movie’s theme provides the message that living does not end just because the heart faced a failure in the relationship of love. Its all in us to revive love, nurture it with care and respect partner as everyone has a heart but it needs to be ‘touched’ and that lies in our actions, solely.

  3. Sounds interesting. I love watching movies, especially south Indian ones. Allu Arjun is my hero. Coming back to this particular movie, I will surely watch it when Hindi dubbed will come on youtube. Because I don’t understand Tamil. I have enjoyed most of the south Indian films in hindi dubbed.

Thanks Shreya for the acknowledgement and good to know about your interest in south movies. If possible watch it on youtube with subtitles as I doubt if it will be dubbed in hindi and moreover it may loose its actual flow in the dubbed version
