As I woke up this morning, I was shocked to find out about the demise of the great actor. A queen of many hearts and a sensible versatile actor who ruled the television sets back then, through her splendid acting. Her movies were a great entertainment and she breathed life into movies. The VCPs that came on rent to quench the entertainment needs for our age as kids, brought along with them one Sridevi movie for sure, as she was quite good with family entertainers too.
It is indeed very sad to hear that her breath has left her at the age of 54. She was my favorite actress too as the growing eyes was quite fond of her charming and cute acting.
There are many great movies that she acted in. But one such movie which were very close to me was the telugu movie ‘Kshana Kshanam’, where she is well known for her innocent kiddish acting and her famous dialogue devuda, devuda, devuda……(meaning oh my God, oh my God, oh my God….).
Sridevi pulled out a great acting in this thriller movie which is a cat and mouse game behind a bag filled with notes robbed off a bank. The movie chases the characters into adventure in the deep jungles. The simple next door innocent middle class working girl, the smart and attentive hero (played by Venkatesh) and a idiotic humorous villain (Paresh Raval) makes it a great movie to watch. Sridevi has also sung a song in the movie in her own voice and the lyrics are quite fun on the ears.
The movie always remained fresh in my heart to this day and it does bring a smile on my face everytime I watch it, and the reason is completely attributed to Madam.
I wish her soul to rest in peace and hereby pay my deep respect to the iconic Actress.
I was really not able to believe because a day earlier I saw her in the fashion show.
